The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, constitute a universal agenda aimed at eradicating poverty, protecting the planet, and ensuring prosperity for all by 2030. Comprising 17 goals and 169 targets, the SDGs are globally interconnected and indivisible, requiring collective national efforts to achieve them. India, being home to over 1.4 billion people, plays a critical role in the global realization of these goals.
